Centrist Nation TV started as a social media crowd-funding campaign to create Bangladesh’s first English-language video news channel in December 2024. Thousands of Bangladeshis pledged to contribute to Centrist Nation’s efforts by providing monthly micro-donations.
Despite promises from thousands of willing viewers, Centrist Nation TV decided not to accept small crowd-funds and ended up accepting only donations, equipment, and other studio resources from a handful of large donors during the early stages of setting up the operation.
The channel follows a Non-profit business model, where every dollar of social media ad revenue, donations, and corporate sponsorships received are fully spent on journalist salaries and production expenses.
CentristNation.TV is owned and operated by Centrist Nation Trust, a licensed business entity operating under a valid trade license in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Centrist Nation maintains compliance with both U.S. and Bangladeshi regulations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and editorial independence.
